I am a theoretical physicist fascinated by the principles of information processing and learning in living systems. The research topics I am currently focusing on are strategies of biological organisms to minimize risk in complex environments, and the development of analysis methods to reveal low-dimensional structures in data of large biological networks such a neuron populations. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania in the group of Prof. Vijay Balasubramanian.

Before I became interested in the physics of living systems, I worked on research problems in String Theory and Gravitational Physics which I still consider a hobby.
